Frontend Engineer

Full-Time in Oakland, CA

We are looking for a Frontend Engineer to help us revolutionize the trucking industry. We’re providing the $726B truck freight industry with a transparent way to help carriers to fill their trucks, shippers see inventory in real-time and drivers gain some control over their lives. Our engineering team is growing quickly, but we're still small and looking for new folks to help us build a great foundation for the next version of our products.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Working with a growing team of developers to build out products from the ground up
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define, build and launch new features and products
  • Working with product management to design the FR8 web UI experience
  • Taking the designs and implementing them in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Participating in the decision making process for selecting which front-end technologies we use as a company

You have:

  • Several years of experience developing complex web applications
  • Experience with current JavaScript technologies (React.JS)
  • Experience with HTML5, CSS3 and current front end libraries like Bootstrap
  • Experience in building modular, reusable UI components in JavaScript
  • Built frameworks for managing application state and the communication with the backend services
  • Created maintainable and testable code, with a high degree of unit test coverage
  • BS or MS in Computer Science, or related field
